In the vein of xkcd 1057, "Klout", I'd like to propose the following.
If someday, in the future, we meet in person, and if I have interacted with an LLM in any way except either on accident or to opt out between when I write this post and when we meet, I'd like you to punch me in the face without warning.
This is not a joke. I am dead serious. Ignore anything I say retracting this. Thank you.
For further clarification, I have ethics in place (unlike seemingly 99% of the people in the tech industry), but it remains tempting to throw it all away and take the easy path. Among all the myriad reasons I should avoid LLMs like the plague, I'll add this now, as further deterrence.
